This Blog has been created as part of James Lennon’s Creative media module. This will predominantly feature radio broadcasts from AFTER.however it shall also incorporate any assignments set for the module under the tab Creative Media.

What is AFTER.?

AFTER. is a radio show currently in its third year and presented on Shock Radio. AFTER. airs every Thursday from 11pm til 1am, welcoming local talents from a spectrum of musical backgrounds to share their productions, mixes and engage in conversation about underground music in and outside of Manchester.

A Brief History

AFTER. was first founded in 2015 as Aftershock, a radio show on Salford Universities Shock Radio. Originally consisting of James, Jordan and Jacob Aftershock was created following the three music enthusiasts meeting at a DJ society during their first semester of university. Aftershock soon changed its name to AFTER. as it continued its first year on air, during which Jacob had sadly departed and James and Jordan were joined by Ellie.  With Ellies arrival AFTER. began to outsource guests DJ’s and Producers from Greater Manchester for its underground radio show which no doubt helped AFTER. gain three student radio award nominations for Best Newcomer, Best Feature and Best Specialist Show in which AFTER. won the award for Best Feature – The Mix. AFTER has continued to outsource local guest promoters, DJ’s and producers and is now in its third and final year.

Current Members

Jordan Joseph – DJ, Presenter and audio acoustics student, Jordan is now in his final year at university. Jordan regularly DJ’s for a DJ agency and under his alias Mortal Sinner hosting an underground Techno and Electro night called Super Fruits. Jordan also has a producer role for Reform radio and has had his own show on Netil Radio over summer.

James Lennon – DJ, Co-Presenter and Professional sound and video technology student, James is in his second year of university. James also regularly DJ’s for the same agency playing Jazz, Disco and House music at The Fitzgerald Bar in Northern Quarter and various other Bars and Restaurants in and around Manchester and Chester. James has also DJ’d and supported Jordans night Super Fruits as well as recently Andy Bellamys 1ARDA event.
